My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and humanistic, person-centered principles. I believe effective therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, and I strive to create a calming, safe, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel genuinely welcomed, heard, and supported.I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, and trauma. My clinical background includes behavioral health treatment centers, intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization programs, and private practice settings.

Clients can expect a warm, collaborative space focused on their strengths, goals, and unique needs. Together, we will work to enhance emotional well being and promote meaningful, lasting change.

Welcome! I commend you for taking this step to prioritize yourself and your well-being. I strive to work together with you to meet your goals, while accepting you as you are currently. I want to create a warm, understanding, and comfortable environment for you, so that you feel free to share and express yourself. I have experience using an eclectic approach – meaning I use various approaches that factor in your unique experience and preferences. These approaches typically include pulling from Interpersonal Process, Strengths-Based, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, and Motivational Interviewing. I attended Eastern Michigan University for both my undergraduate degree in Psychology, as well as my Master degree in Social Work. I look forward to working with you!

CBT Mental Health

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

CBT is a type of therapy that focuses on helping you understand and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that may be affecting your mental health. The idea behind CBT is that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. Sometimes, we can get stuck in patterns of thinking that make us feel worse or act in ways that don’t help us. CBT helps you recognize these patterns and teaches you how to challenge and change them.

EMDR Therapy Mental Health

EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING THERAPY

EMDR is a type of therapy designed to help you process difficult memories and experiences that may be affecting your current emotional well-being. It's based on the idea that when we experience trauma or distressing events, our brain might have trouble fully processing these memories, which can lead to emotional distress or unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior.

DBT Mental Health

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY

DBT is especially helpful for people who experience intense emotions or struggle with self-destructive behaviors. It combines individual therapy with group skills training, so you get both one-on-one support and the opportunity to practice new skills in a group setting. The goal is to help you create a life that feels more manageable, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.
